What is Corporate Risk Mitigation

At SP & I (PTY) Ltd we have a unique service offering; we call Corporate Risk Mitigation. It is the process of planning for an event or occurrence and having a way to lessen negative impacts. Although the principle of risk mitigation is to prepare a business for all potential risks, a proper risk mitigation plan will weigh the impact of each risk and prioritize planning around that impact.

The goal of most security programs is to reduce risk. Risk mitigation is accomplished by decreasing the threat level by eliminating or intercepting the adversary before they attack, blocking opportunities through enhanced security, or reducing the consequences if an attack should occur.

 

Polygraph Testing plays a vital role in our Corporate Risk Mitigation strategy, therefore SP & I (PTY) Ltd provide Polygraph testing to our clients. Our tests are done by our trained Polygraph examiner. A polygraph test determines whether or not a person is telling the truth, and more corporate companies are using these tests to screen new employees. We use our Polygraph test as an investigative tool when used in a correct manner by a trained polygraph examiner during investigation, the test results provide insight into who might have committed a crime inside the organization.

 

During the test, a polygraph examiner will give a pre-test interview. Next, the chart collection phase begins, in which a series of questions is asked about three times. While the examinee answers the questions, their physiological data is collected, measured, and recorded. Finally, a test data analysis is conducted. The examiner analyzes and evaluates the physiological data using a numerical quantification system which will, in turn, reveal whether or not the examinee is being honest.
